Long answer

Fanta is one of many sodas that include chemicals proven to be harmful to the body if ingested regularly. The lack of caffeine and the sweet, fruity flavors of this drink make it very attractive as an alternative to caffeinated beverages. Unfortunately, Fanta drinks are not good for your body at all because they contain very high levels of sugar, excess citric acid, aspartame, phenylalanine, as well as a host of artificial preservatives.

The high amounts of sugar in Fanta will cause the liver to produce large quantities of insulin much more rapidly than it should. Most of the sugars will then be turned into fat cells, leading to obesity and an increased risk of diabetes. Anyone that is looking to lose weight will probably see the opposite happen if they continue to drink Fanta.

Citric acid is another thing to be concerned about in Fanta. Mixing the sugar content with high levels of acid creates a huge off-balance in your body's digestive system and mouth. Only the stomach is capable of handling this high of an acid level, meaning the mouth, throat, intestines, and all other internal body parts that come into contact with the soda may start to deteriorate over time. Most commonly, tooth enamel will slowly erode.

Another notable ingredient you should be worried about is aspartame. It's widely known from highly publicized studies that Aspartame has been linked with some types of cancer and tumor growth, along with numerous neurological issues which are caused by the formation of formaldehyde after it's broken down in your body.
